HOW IT WORKS - At a Glance:

Self-regulating Floor Heating Element
This thin, low-voltage heating element is safely installed under virtually any type of floor covering. The FloorHeat element is self-regulating.
Transformer for heated floor system.

A transformer converts the line voltage (220V) to the low voltage (60V or less) to produce luxurious warmth and comfort.

Thermostat for radiant floor heating system An activation device or thermostat allows you to select the perfect temperature for the air or floor. Rooms or "zones"  can be controlled individually by separate thermostats.

A Closer Look:

Low voltage, radiant heat systems contain three main components:

Heating Element - The floor heating element is a thin, flexible and durable polymer heating element that is self regulating. When the ambient temperature rises, the electrical resistance in the heating element increases and the consumption of electricity decreases. So, as the material gets warmer, less electricity passes through the heating element, making this system one of the most energy-efficient systems on the market. The self regulating attribute ensures that the element will not overheat.

The floor heating system is ideal for renovation and new construction, and can be used under almost any flooring, including tile, stone, hardwood, laminate, resilient and carpet, etc. No additional floor buildup is required when heating floors with the FloorHeat radiant heated floor system. FloorHeat is a safe low-voltage radiant heating product for practically any application.

Power Unit - The power unit contains the brains of the system, along with the step down transformer, which converts the line voltage (220 volts) to the low voltage (60 volts or less). The advanced circuitry in the power unit regulates the system, assuring safe, accurate, and optimal performance.

FloorHeat operates on low-voltage and does not require a ground fault switch. It is normally connected to a 24 volt transformer, but can also be run by solar or wind-power sources. The system is maintenance free, easily zoned and energy efficient.

Activation Device - Our 100 percent automated floor heating thermostats save energy and allow you to have the radiant floor heating system turn on when desired. Thermostats are available that feature a sensor in the floor to measure floor temperature or a sensor that senses the temperature of the room (air).

The MicroReg electronic power controller features a relay output for infinitely variable setting of requested heating output, up to 10A.
