A professional saw cutter cuts 1/4 inch wide and 1 to 1 1/2 inch deep grooves
Backer Rod, a foam filler, is stuffed in the grooves to take up space between the cable and sealant
The Tuff Cable is splice to the Cold Lead, which connects to the Control Units
Half to one inch wide grooves are cut in the garage to run the Cold Lead to the Control Units - Gray concrete sealant
is used in the garage to cover the Cold Leads
Two Control Units (17" x 12" x 8" each) control the Snow Melting Systems - 240 V. 30 amp breakers are required to power each zone
An aerial mounted snow switch is used to automatically turn on the snow melting systems when there
is moisture in the air and the temperature is near freezing
Blacktop sealant is used to seal the asphalt driveway and gray concrete sealant is used for the sidewalks and in the garage
